- If your pet has been exposed or is at-risk

- If your pet exhibits any of these common symptoms:
- Oral Ulcers: Ulcers in the mouth, on the tongue, gums, or the back of the throat, are a hallmark sign of FCV infection. These ulcers can be painful and may lead to drooling.
- Sneezing: Cats with FCV may frequently sneeze, and some may have nasal discharge.
- Conjunctivitis: Inflammation of the eye's mucous membranes (conjunctivitis) can occur, leading to redness, squinting, and discharge from the eyes.
- Lethargy: Infected cats may appear tired and lack energy.
- Fever: FCV infection can cause a fever, which can contribute to the cat's overall malaise.
- Nasal Discharge: Cats may have a clear or mucous-like nasal discharge.
- Coughing: Some cats with FCV may develop a mild cough.
- Respiratory Signs: FCV can cause respiratory symptoms, including difficulty breathing in severe cases.
- Anorexia: Infected cats may have a reduced appetite and may be reluctant to eat due to mouth ulcers.
- Limping Syndrome: In some cases, FCV can lead to a condition known as "limping syndrome," characterized by lameness and joint pain.
