Respiratory symptoms can be caused by several infectious and non-infectious conditions. Kedi Labs offers species-specific PCR panels for cats and dogs that screen for important respiratory pathogens and provide laboratory information you can share with your veterinarian.

Choose the right respiratory panel

For cats: Choose the Feline Respiratory Infection PCR Panel for sneezing, nasal or eye discharge, congestion, coughing, or persistent respiratory symptoms where infectious causes are being investigated.

For dogs: Choose the Canine Respiratory Infection PCR Panel for coughing, gagging, nasal discharge, or symptoms after boarding, daycare, grooming, dog parks, shows, shelters, or other close contact with dogs.

When to seek veterinary care now: Marked breathing difficulty, open-mouth breathing in a cat, blue or pale gums, collapse, severe lethargy, or rapidly worsening respiratory signs require urgent veterinary care rather than waiting for a mail-in result.

PCR testing can help identify infectious respiratory pathogens, but it does not evaluate every possible cause of coughing, sneezing, or breathing problems.
